Liturgical celebration of the Paschal Mysteries: Walk in Faith

In faith we step back in to history. Two thousand years back. Jesus, the Pure and Holy Son of God himself came down to show God’s everlasting love. It is the same love that came down at Christmas as a helpless babe. It is the same love incarnate who laid down His life for the salvation of us all, miserable sinners. Isaiah aptly puts it : “By His stripes we are healed”.
The Liturgical celebration of the Paschal Mysteries offers us the opportunity to once again participate in the merits of Jesus’ Passion, Death and Ressurrection. Though we were not part of the populace of Jesus’ times, when in faith we enter into these liturgical commemoration, we stand to gain all the benefits of this Holy Season.
So, come then and be a part of this greatest sacrifice that has ever been offered and the greatest love who laid down His life for us poor sinners. From the Washing of the Feet, the Lord’s Supper, the Agony in the Garden, the scourging, the crowning with thorns, the way of the cross, the crucifixion and the resurrection, the greatest act of love is remembered. It is a FAITH WALK into these LITURGICAL MOMENTS.
COME AND CELEBRATE HIS SAVING MYSTERIES IN THE GREAT LITURGY OF THE HOLY WEEK.
We make the prayer of ST. THOMAS Aquinas our own:
Soul of my savior sanctify my breast
Body of Christ be thou my saving guest
Blood of my savior bathe me in thy tide
Wash me ye waters gushing from His side
Strength and Protection may His passion be
O blessed Jesus hear and answer me
Deep in thy wounds Lord hide and shelter me
So shall I never, never part from thee

May this prayer be ours this Holy Season.
