EUGENIC ABORTION... WHITHER IT GOES

First the process of selection (genetic engineering, clonining) and now annihilation (abortion, eugenic abortion and legalization thereof) the sad tale of selfishness continues on...where are we headed to, Good Heavens!

Legalization of eugenic abortion is terrible indeed to humanity. Whether it’s in Sweden or anywhere on the planet earth, we are part of this one humanity and therefore it does cause concern. It is everybody’s business. If there is a war in any part of the world, don’t we all raise our voices. Yes we do! In Darfur or in Sri Lanka, or wherever the humanity is subject to genocide, we all react, object and make our voice heard against ethnic cleansing. History has not forgotten what was done to humanity. While we are quick to condemn the past, what are we doing with the here and now? We can’t tolerate such atrocities in our time either.

Coming back to our topic, I welcome you to read this article and the interesting, at times shocking comments under this article for one to read; one claims it’s nobody’s business, the Swedish women could do what they want or it’s the decision of the couple when it comes to abortion. There are some voices of sanity but they are trounced by the ‘mind your own business’ type of folks who feel that it is their right to annihilate. The slippery slope…who knows where this will take.

When we lose sight of the eternal perspective, the after life, perhaps it is understandable that one could fool or toy around with ones exploits. Gender determination, selection and its annihilation has become official and legal, although some societies seem to justify their practice in the name of culture or population control. Even in those taboo driven cultures there are people of Good Will who have voiced for the voiceless (unborn female children). What a terrible thing it would be to accept anything and everything that is detrimental to our human existence. All humans are mortal, but that is not the end.

There is a beginning in the end – eternal life. If we have the perspective, we’ll be careful about our acts and our thoughts and words as well. Perhaps this may or may not make sense. But the simple belief in the existence of soul and that we are made in the image and likeness of God, a simple acceptance of that would put us in the eternal perspective. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Scripture says. And if we don’t heed to that, let us remember also His words ‘Vengence is mine’ saith the Lord!

In a world that cares so much for pets (animal life), the green earth and the fear of global warming (they are legit and wonderful) why is there not an outcry to defend human life, especially the life of the voiceless, defenseless unborn? The milk of human kindness towards humanity itself seems to be running out. Lord have mercy!
